The Art of cooking November at Little Genius

November is a time for family, gratitude, and delicious food! At Little Genius, we believe that there’s no better way for children to learn about the joy of Thanksgiving than by creating their own festive dishes. That’s why our The Art of Cooking Class is offering a special Thanksgiving-themed menu throughout November. Each class is designed to inspire young chefs, teach them valuable kitchen skills, and let them enjoy the process of making and eating food that’s not only fun to create but also delicious!

Let’s dive into what your child will experience in our cooking classes this November.

Mashed Potato Casserole (1st November)

We start the month with a creamy, cheesy Mashed Potato Casserole, a true Thanksgiving staple. Your child will learn how to mash potatoes to the perfect consistency, add layers of cheese and seasoning, and bake it to golden perfection. This dish teaches the basics of working with ingredients like butter, milk, and potatoes while making it fun to mix and mash!

Apple Pie Stuffed Biscuits (8th November)

Next up, we bring dessert to the table with Apple Pie Stuffed Biscuits. In this class, kids will discover the wonders of turning simple biscuit dough into delicious apple pie-inspired treats. With a mix of cinnamon, sugar, and freshly chopped apples, these stuffed biscuits will give your child the opportunity to work with dough and learn about baking techniques, while filling your kitchen with the sweet aromas of fall.

Corn Casserole (22nd November)

A classic side dish for Thanksgiving, Corn Casserole is a comforting and flavorful dish that your child will enjoy making. They’ll combine fresh corn, eggs, milk, and cheese to create a golden, creamy casserole. This dish is perfect for teaching kids how to measure ingredients, crack eggs, and mix everything together in the right proportions. It’s a simple yet satisfying way to introduce them to hearty fall flavors.

Turkey Cabbage Rolls (29th November)

We wrap up the month with Turkey Cabbage Rolls, a fun and healthy twist on the traditional Thanksgiving turkey. Kids will learn how to carefully roll cabbage leaves around a flavorful turkey filling, baking them to perfection. This class not only teaches how to prepare turkey, but also emphasizes the importance of using vegetables creatively. It’s a wholesome dish packed with nutrition and flavor, ideal for inspiring healthy eating habits!
